|Route # 6 Rusticoville|
Winter storms often have a lot of wind so the banks of snow build up around the property. All the cottages are insulated and winterized but this time of year there's no one around to stay in them. Years ago we used to rent out the cottages by the month to people that were working in the area for the winter, a peaceful time of year on PEI.

Many tourist related activities and establishments around North Rustico and Cavendish shut down for winter. There a few places nearby open year round and plenty of accommodations in Charlottetown.
There are great snowmobiling and cross country ski trails to enjoy!

PEI is very beautiful and peaceful in winter; a place of quiet and solitude.

The water views have become covered with thick ice. After a stretch of cold the ice can get thick enough to support a car no problem.
